We ranked all 18 EPA-rated 1996 vans by what they cost to fuel. The Ford Aerostar Van leads at about $2,583 a year (18 MPG), while the Dodge B3500 Wagon is the most expensive to run at $3,577 (13 MPG). The median van costs $3,100 a year to fuel.

Fuel costs assume 15,000 miles a year at $3.10/gal regular, $3.95/gal premium and 18¢/kWh. Each model is shown in its most efficient configuration.
